Our Board of Directors has committed long-term support to our fund which allows us to make long-term commitments to our companies. In addition, our board has invested their own money in the fund and as a result, each one of them participates in every investment. This direct investment reinforces our board’s commitment to every company in our portfolio and ensures that we bring every available resource to bear in helping our companies succeed.

Richard S. (Rick) Kearney, Chairman
An entrepreneur since an early age, Mr. Kearney is renowned for his vision and pioneering instincts. He is currently President and CEO of Mainline Information Systems, Inc., one of Inc. 500’s fastest growing privately held companies in the United States for five years in a row. He has served as board member for IT Florida, and is the mastermind behind the Tallahassee Digital Canopy.

 

Frank Shaw, Jr., Secretary/Treasurer
Mr. Shaw brings over 40 years of experience as a banker and venture capitalist. Currently, he owns Shaw Securities, and has served on the Board of Directors of the St. Joe Company, has founded interest in Andrew Jackson Savings and Loan, First South Bank, Farmers and Merchants Bank and Parkway National Bank.

 


Langdon Flowers, Director
As President of FPI, Inc., Mr. Flowers founded Barrier Dunes Development Corporation, Flowers Properties, Inc. and Highland Properties Construction Company, which were recently merged into Proactive Technologies, Inc. (AMEX). Prior to PFI, Inc., he served as President of Flowers Industries, Inc., (NYSE) (GA, FL). He earned a B.S. degree in Management from Georgia Tech University.

 

Fred Beshears, Director
As President and owner of Simpson Nursery, one of the largest nurseries in the United States, Mr. Beshears oversees production, sales and distribution to mass merchandisers. He has been closely involved in land development and sales, apartment management and rentals, trading stocks, bonds, and other real and financial investments, and has interest in several other operating companies.

 

Marshall R. Cassedy, Jr., Director
Mr. Cassedy is the President of Cassedy and Company. Prior to working with Cassedy and Company, he was an Option Analyst and Financial Consultant with Merrill Lynch for fifteen years. He is a graduate of the University of the South with a B.A. in Economics with Honors, and has an M.B.A. in Finance and Management from Florida State University.

 

Christopher J. Campbell, CEO
As A former executive with AT&T/Bellsouth, Corning Glass International, Ingersoll-Rand and Deltacom, Mr. Campbell has developed an impressive record of success in galvanizing diverse working groups into successful teams. He holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and an MBA from Florida State University.
