Investment Committee – Vision2020

Committee Charge:

Vision2020 believes that a balanced approach to portfolio management is required to reduce volatility and prudently maximize total return for the long term (at least 3-5 year horizon). Total return is defined to be the result of capital gains, realized and unrealized, plus income derived from dividends and interests. It is recognized that economic and security conditions are not constant but ever changing and, as a result, continuous portfolio evaluation will be required in order to maintain asset productivity.

It is expected that the Investment Manager will manage the portfolio to seek to achieve the Fund’s objective at all times. Vision2020 investment objective is to target revenue ramp for our portfolio companies which consist of firms that are:

  • Start up, or early stage firms that the committee believes by the third year will be established as contenders in their market and will then grow to be more aggressively and meet their ability for geographic expansion and additional investment. Vision2020 will consider other stage investment opportunities. The committee is expected to:
  • Maximize the return on investor funds.
  • Maintain sufficient liquidity to meet the anticipated investment of the fund.
  • Establish an Investment Committee, which will become a standing Committee of the fund. The Committee will consist of the Chair, two Board Members and one non-Board member chosen by the Chair.
  • The Committee can seek the advice of independent professional services when necessary to ensure complete due diligence.
  • The responsibilities of the Investment Committee will be to: Evaluate the investment options recommendations of the CEO; Monitor the investments and provide quarterly status reports to the Board; Recommend changes in investments as needed.
  • All proposed investments must be considered by the Board.
